The Inherence Process
Origins of the word ~inherence~
The word “inherence” originates from the Latin word “inhaereo.” Interestingly, this word carries dual meanings: “cleave, split” and “stick, adhere.” This suggests the existence of at least two distinct parts that are strongly connected, forming a unified whole. Even though these two components are separate, they cannot function independently of one another.
In the Dictionary of Philosophy, “inherence” is defined as “the relation of an attribute to its subject.” For example, blowing is an inherent attribute of wind—wind cannot exist without blowing. Similarly, when air moves (blows), we identify it as wind.
Inherence refers to a state of indwelling or a permanent existence within something. It signifies innateness, an inseparable and essential connection, and a quality that is inherently and permanently present.
“I cling or adhere to.”
“I engage deeply or closely in.”
“I am closely connected with.”
These same characteristics apply to the structure of our consciousness. It consists of substantially separate components that must indwell within each other—intimately connected, present to one another, and inseparable. When this connection is disrupted, we experience anxiety, depression, loneliness, low self-esteem, a sense of being lost, excessive control, lack of satisfaction, inner emptiness, and a tendency to seek solutions in the wrong places—temporarily patching the inner discomfort.
In such a state, emotions and thoughts seem to live lives of their own. This creates an inner dis-order and a sense of disconnection from the deeper Self.
The Inherence Process
The process is an elegant and simple path that redirects your attention and energy back to the deeper Self.
A common belief is that, to achieve this, we must address traumas from childhood, later in life, or even previous generations. To some extent, this is true—many people experience profound healing by doing so, and their lives improve dramatically. However, this type of work can take a long time, especially when one is attempting to dig through a mountain of unnecessarily stored traumas, memories, emotions, and events. With persistence, significant results are possible.
Deeper than trauma
However, this is not the end of going deeper within. Beneath all the layers of traumas stored in your subconscious lies an even deeper layer operating within your unconscious space. This is a highly instinctual realm, inaccessible to the ordinary conscious mind. Within this space reside profound elements of your inner Self and core human identity. When the components of the deeper Self become misaligned, they generate an additional set of emotions. These emotions are NOT the result of traumas you’ve experienced in life but arise from the misalignment itself. And because this occurs in the unconscious space, you remain unaware of its presence.
These emotions are responsible for a powerful inner drive to hold on to the trauma, belief, or emotional pattern that your conscious mind insists you want to release.
You may swear that you absolutely don’t want to experience something, yet when you access the unconscious, automatic realm, it becomes clear: you are the one holding on to it—no one else is doing it to you.
The unconscious need
The Inherence Process gently and instantly guides you to that deep, personal space. Here, you may suddenly realize that the trauma or event itself is not as important as it once seemed. What truly matters is the question: “Why am I still holding on to it? If I really don’t want to experience it, why doesn’t it listen to me and go away?” The answer lies in the fact that there is ALWAYS an additional layer—a deep, personal need to hold on to it. Because this need resides in the unconscious, it leaves you feeling helpless, as though you can’t do much about it. In response, the mind pretends it doesn’t exist.
Facing yourself
The Inherence Process helps you uncover your personal, unrealized interest in holding on to something you consciously don’t want. It enables you to take true responsibility for your deeper Self. You become transparent with yourself, facing your truth. During the process, it’s just you looking at you—with no place to hide. This process empowers you to finally step out of your deep comfort zone and into a new dimension of yourself. You reconnect with your inner Power by releasing the unconscious attachments to what you no longer prefer. This realignment restores order to the pieces of your inner structure. In the area where the connection is restored, everything begins to flow again. And that flow is Love itself.
Comfort zones
Working with comfort zones often involves confronting the fear of leaving your safe and familiar space. This fear stems from the animal part of you, which feels secure in what it knows and becomes alert when faced with something new.
However, human beings encounter an even deeper dimension of comfort zones, one that lies beneath the animalistic survival instinct. This deeper layer is intimately tied to the essence of humanity and what it means to be truly humane. Leaving this comfort zone is particularly challenging because it feels like the death of the false ego—the part of you that represents your constructed human identity. Yet, this step is essential if you wish to evolve into a true human being with divine qualities.
The Inherence Process is specifically designed to guide your attention to this profound level. It brings to light emotions and beliefs you didn’t even know you had. Your conscious mind can finally take a break from unproductive searching. The process enables you to release these hidden elements and reconnect with your true core Self.
Whether or not you choose to embark on this journey is entirely up to you.
Elegant and gentle
The Inherence Process is both elegant and gentle, requiring no fight or struggle. Rather than confronting your traumas directly, the process focuses on addressing the deeply personal, misaligned levels of who you truly are. When you reconnect with your true core Self, the traumas naturally fall away—they no longer serve a purpose in your life.
Safe and flexible
The Inherence Process can be applied at various depths within the structure of your consciousness. Your own Self will naturally guide you on how deep to go. If your system isn’t ready to dive deeply right away, you will take smaller, gradual steps. A safety mechanism is inherently built into the process.
